Jakarta Saat ini, semua orang memiliki kemungkinan terpapar oleh virus corona. Kita berusaha semaksimal mungkin mencegah penyebaran virus yang lebih meluas. Tidak terkecuali, perlindungan dan pencegahan di desa tempat tinggal anak-anak SOS Children’s Villages.
Jakarta, 13 April 2020 – Semakin meningkatnya jumlah kasus Covid-19 di Indonesia, khususnya di wilayah DKI Jakarta, telah mendorong Tim Velox Pejaten untuk membantu pemerintah dalam rangka pencegahan penyebaran Covid-19. Setelah mendatangi beberapa tempat di wilayah DKI Jakarta, pada hari Senin (13/4/2020), Tim Velox Pejaten turun langsung untuk melakukan sosialisasi dan
penyemprotan disinfektan di komplek SOS Children’s Village Jakarta, tepatnya di daerah Cibubur, Jakarta Timur.

SOS Children’s Village Jakarta merupakan salah satu desa ramah anak dari 8 lokasi area kerja di Indonesia, dari Aceh hingga Maumere. Di SOS Children’s Village Jakarta 119 anak telah mendapatkan kembali keluarga di 15 rumah dengan seorang ibu SOS di masing-masing rumah. Mereka adalah anak-anak yang telah kehilangan pengasuhan orang tua.

SOS Children’s Villages merupakan organisasi sosial yang aktif dalam mendukung hak-hak anak dan berkomitmen memberikan pengasuhan berkualitas
kepada anak-anak yang telah atau berisiko kehilangan pengasuhan orang tua.

Fokus yang diberikan adalah kebutuhan utama anak-anak, dalam bentuk keluarga dan rumah yang penuh kasih sayang.
Sejak ditetapkannya upaya social distancing oleh pemerintah pusat, maka praktis kegiatan sehari-hari
di village sangat dibatasi.

Kegiatan pembatasan yang dimaksud termasuk kunjungan masyarakat ke
desa maupun kegiatan outdoor yang menunjang tumbuh kembang anak. Di sisi lain, ancaman COVID-19 yang semakin meningkat menjadi hal yang cukup menjadi perhatian untuk kesehatan dan
perlindungan anak-anak.

Untuk itu, salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah edukasi tentang virus corona agar dapat dipahami oleh anak-anak dan ibu asuh. Dalam sosialisasi dan edukasi yang dilakukan oleh Tim Velox Pejaten di SOS Children’s Village Jakarta, telah dijelaskan hal-hal yang terkait dengan Covid-19 seperti
pengenalan virus corona, pencegahan penyebaran melalui budaya hidup bersih, serta mendorong gerakan masyarakat hidup bersih dan sehat (Germas). Dalam sesi ini anak-anak juga diberikan
pemahaman terkait beberapa protokol kesehatan.

Sebelum mengikuti kegiatan, para peserta yang terdiri dari anak, ibu asuh, dan pengurus village dilakukan pengecekan suhu tubuh dan diberikan masker.
Tempat duduk dipastikan adanya jarak antara satu dan yang lainnya sesuai dengan prosedur physical distancing.

Pada akhir acara sosialisasi, Tim Velox memberikan bantuan masker dan hand
sanitizer kepada pengurus SOS Children’s Villages Jakarta. Kegiatan tim Velox ditutup dengan penyemprotan disinfektan di seluruh area SOS Children’s Village Jakarta.

Tim Velox Pejaten akan terus melakukan kampanye pencegahan Covid-19, khususnya di wilayah DKI Jakarta. Hasil yang ingin dicapai antara lain pencegahan potensi penularan Covid-19, meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat terkait Covid-19 sehingga masyarakat tidak panik sosialisasi perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS), dan penyemprotan disinfektan untuk meminimalisir penyebaran Covid-19.

“SOS Children’s Villages berkomitmen untuk mengambil semua langkah yang mungkin untuk melindungi anak-anak dan menanggapi kebutuhan keluarga yang paling rentan dalam situasi saat ini.

Demi mengusahakan kepentingan terbaik bagi anak-anak, SOS Children’s Villages mengambil langkah preventif agar anak-anak aman dari penularan COVID-19. Tidak hanya itu, respons cepat segera
dilakukan sesuai prosedur bila ada anak yang menunjukkan gejala, seperti batuk, pilek atau demam.

Sejauh ini semua cepat membaik dan sehat lagi. Kami juga berterima kasih dapat menjalin kerja sama dengan Tim Velox Pejaten untuk memperkecil risiko penyebaran Covid-19,” ujar Gregor Hadi

Hingga 14 April 2020, telah terjadi 4.557 kasus COVID-19 di Indonesia dan DKI Jakarta merupakan provinsi dengan kasus terbanyak yang mencapai 2.186 kasus.

Berbagai usaha terus dilakukan oleh
pemerintah, para stakeholder, dan masyarakat dari berbagai lapisan untuk menekan angka penyebaran COVID-19 di Indonesia.

After visiting a number of places in the DKI Jakarta area, on Monday (4/13/2020), the Velox Pejaten Team went directly to conduct socialization and spraying disinfectant in the SOS Children’s Village Jakarta complex, precisely in the Cibubur area, East Jakarta.

SOS Children’s Village Jakarta is one of the child-friendly villages of 8 work area locations in Indonesia, from Aceh to Maumere. At SOS Children’s Village Jakarta 119 children have found families in 15 homes with an SOS mother in each home. They are children who have lost parental care.

SOS Children’s Villages is a social organization that is active in supporting children’s rights and committed to providing quality care

The intended restriction activities include community visits to
villages and outdoor activities that support child development. On the other hand, the increasing threat of COVID-19 is of considerable concern to health and
child protection.

For this reason, one of the efforts made is education about the corona virus so that it can be understood by children and foster mothers. In the socialization and education conducted by the Velox Pejaten Team at SOS Children’s Village Jakarta, things related to Covid-19 such as
the introduction of the corona virus, prevention of spread through a culture of clean living, and encouraging the community movement to live clean and healthy (Germas). In this session children are also given
understanding related to several health protocols.

Before participating in the activity, participants consisting of children, foster mothers, and village officials were checked for body temperature and given masks.
Seats are ensured that there is a distance between one and the other in accordance with the physical distancing procedure.

At the end of the socialization event, the Velox Team provided mask and hand assistance sanitizer to the management of SOS Children’s Villages Jakarta. The Velox team’s activities were closed by spraying disinfectants throughout the SOS Children’s Village area of ​​Jakarta.

The Velox Pejaten team will continue to conduct a Covid-19 prevention campaign, specifically in the DKI Jakarta area. The results to be achieved include preventing the potential of Covid-19 transmission, increasing people’s understanding of Covid-19 so that people do not panic about the promotion of clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS), and spraying disinfectants to minimize the spread of Covid-19.
